Quran 92, Al-Lail (The Night) ⓘ

92:1By the night enshrouding

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَى

92:2And the day resplendent

وَالنَّهَارِ إِذَا تَجَلَّى

92:3And Him Who hath created male and female,

وَمَا خَلَقَ الذَّكَرَ وَالْأُنْثَى

92:4Lo! your effort is dispersed (toward divers ends).

إِنَّ سَعْيَكُمْ لَشَتَّى

92:5As for him who giveth and is dutiful (toward Allah)

فَأَمَّا مَنْ أَعْطَى وَاتَّقَى

92:6And believeth in goodness;

وَصَدَّقَ بِالْحُسْنَى

92:7Surely We will ease his way unto the state of ease.

فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُ لِلْيُسْرَى

92:8But as for him who hoardeth and deemeth himself independent,

وَأَمَّا مَنْ بَخِلَ وَاسْتَغْنَى

92:9And disbelieveth in goodness;

وَكَذَّبَ بِالْحُسْنَى

92:10Surely We will ease his way unto adversity.

فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُ لِلْعُسْرَى

92:11His riches will not save him when he perisheth.

وَمَا يُغْنِي عَنْهُ مَالُهُ إِذَا تَرَدَّى

92:12Lo! Ours it is (to give) the guidance

إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا لَلْهُدَى

92:13And lo! unto Us belong the latter portion and the former.

وَإِنَّ لَنَا لَلْآخِرَةَ وَالْأُولَى

92:14Therefor have I warned you of the flaming Fire

فَأَنْذَرْتُكُمْ نَارًا تَلَظَّى

92:15Which only the most wretched must endure,

لَا يَصْلَاهَا إِلَّا الْأَشْقَى

92:16He who denieth and turneth away.

الَّذِي كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّى

92:17Far removed from it will be the righteous

وَسَيُجَنَّبُهَا الْأَتْقَى

92:18Who giveth his wealth that he may grow (in goodness).

الَّذِي يُؤْتِي مَالَهُ يَتَزَكَّى

92:19And none hath with him any favour for reward,

وَمَا لِأَحَدٍ عِنْدَهُ مِنْ نِعْمَةٍ تُجْزَى

92:20Except as seeking (to fulfil) the purpose of his Lord Most High.

إِلَّا ابْتِغَاءَ وَجْهِ رَبِّهِ الْأَعْلَى

92:21He verily will be content.

وَلَسَوْفَ يَرْضَى
