Quran 81, At-Takwir (The Enfolding) ⓘ
81:1When the sun is overthrown,
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ إِذَا الشَّمْسُ كُوِّرَتْ
81:2And when the stars fall,
وَإِذَا النُّجُومُ انْكَدَرَتْ
81:3And when the hills are moved,
وَإِذَا الْجِبَالُ سُيِّرَتْ
81:4And when the camels big with young are abandoned,
وَإِذَا الْعِشَارُ عُطِّلَتْ
81:5And when the wild beasts are herded together,
وَإِذَا الْوُحُوشُ حُشِرَتْ
81:6And when the seas rise,
وَإِذَا الْبِحَارُ سُجِّرَتْ
81:7And when souls are reunited,
وَإِذَا النُّفُوسُ زُوِّجَتْ
81:8And when the girl-child that was buried alive is asked
وَإِذَا الْمَوْءُودَةُ سُئِلَتْ
81:9For what sin she was slain,
بِأَيِّ ذَنْبٍ قُتِلَتْ
81:10And when the pages are laid open,
وَإِذَا الصُّحُفُ نُشِرَتْ
81:11And when the sky is torn away,
وَإِذَا السَّمَاءُ كُشِطَتْ
81:12And when hell is lighted,
وَإِذَا الْجَحِيمُ سُعِّرَتْ
81:13And when the Garden is brought nigh,
وَإِذَا الْجَنَّةُ أُزْلِفَتْ
81:14(Then) every soul will know what it hath made ready.
عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌ مَا أَحْضَرَتْ
81:15Oh, but I call to witness the planets,
فَلَا أُقْسِمُ بِالْخُنَّسِ
81:16The stars which rise and set,
الْجَوَارِ الْكُنَّسِ
81:17And the close of night,
وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا عَسْعَسَ
81:18And the breath of morning
وَالصُّبْحِ إِذَا تَنَفَّسَ
81:19That this is in truth the word of an honoured messenger,
إِنَّهُ لَقَوْلُ رَسُولٍ كَرِيمٍ
81:20Mighty, established in the presence of the Lord of the Throne,
ذِي قُوَّةٍ عِنْدَ ذِي الْعَرْشِ مَكِينٍ
81:21(One) to be obeyed, and trustworthy;
مُطَاعٍ ثَمَّ أَمِينٍ
81:22And your comrade is not mad.
وَمَا صَاحِبُكُمْ بِمَجْنُونٍ
81:23Surely he beheld Him on the clear horizon.
وَلَقَدْ رَآهُ بِالْأُفُقِ الْمُبِينِ
81:24And he is not avid of the Unseen.
وَمَا هُوَ عَلَى الْغَيْبِ بِضَنِينٍ
81:25Nor is this the utterance of a devil worthy to be stoned.
وَمَا هُوَ بِقَوْلِ شَيْطَانٍ رَجِيمٍ
81:26Whither then go ye?
فَأَيْنَ تَذْهَبُونَ
81:27This is naught else than a reminder unto creation,
إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْرٌ لِلْعَالَمِينَ
81:28Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight.
لِمَنْ شَاءَ مِنْكُمْ أَنْ يَسْتَقِيمَ
81:29And ye will not, unless (it be) that Allah willeth, the Lord of Creation.
وَمَا تَشَاءُونَ إِلَّا أَنْ يَشَاءَ اللَّهُ رَبُّ الْعَالَمِينَ
