List of Wrongs
Do not obey every contemptible oath-monger
68:10Neither obey thou each feeble oath-monger,
A slanderer, a gossip-spreader
68:11Detracter, spreader abroad of slanders,
One who blocks good, transgresses bounds, and is steeped in sin
68:12Hinderer of the good, transgressor, malefactor
Harsh and coarse, and on top of that, of questionable lineage
68:13Greedy therewithal, intrusive.
Simply because he possesses wealth and sons.
68:14It is because he is possessed of wealth and children
When Our signs are recited to him, he says, “These are tales of the ancients.”
68:15That, when Our revelations are recited unto him, he saith: Mere fables of the men of old.
We will brand him on the snout.
68:16We shall brand him on the nose.
