To you, yours; to me, mine.

Say: O disbelievers!

109:1Say: O disbelievers!

I do not worship what you worship

109:2I worship not that which ye worship;

Nor do you worship what I worship.

109:3Nor worship ye that which I worship.

I will never worship what you worship

109:4And I shall not worship that which ye worship.

Nor will you ever worship what I worship.

109:5Nor will ye worship that which I worship.

To you is your religion, and to me is mine.

109:6Unto you your religion, and unto me my religion.

And when they hear idle talk, they turn away, saying, “We have our deeds, and you have yours. Peace be upon you, we do not seek the ignorant.”

28:55And when they hear vanity they withdraw from it and say: Unto us our works and unto you your works. Peace be unto you! We desire not the ignorant.

You cannot guide those you love, but it is Allah who leads whom He wills.

28:56Lo! thou (O Muhammad) guidest not whom thou lovest, but Allah guideth whom He will. And He is Best Aware of those who walk aright.

They say, “If we follow guidance with you, we will be snatched from our land.” Have We not established them in a secure sanctuary, to which fruits of all kinds are brought as provision from Us? But most of them do not know.

28:57And they say: If we were to follow the Guidance with thee we should be torn out of our land. Have We not established for them a sure sanctuary, whereunto the produce of all things is brought (in trade), a provision from Our presence? But most of them know not.

And how many towns have We destroyed that were ungrateful for their prosperity? Here are their dwellings, uninhabited after them, except for a few. We were the inheritors.

28:58And how many a community have We destroyed that was thankless for its means of livelihood! And yonder are their dwellings, which have not been inhabited after them save a little. And We, even We, were the inheritors.

Your Lord never destroys a town until He sends a messenger to its people, reciting Our signs to them. And We never destroy a town unless its people are unjust.

28:59And never did thy Lord destroy the townships, till He had raised up in their mother(-town) a messenger reciting unto them Our revelations. And never did We destroy the townships unless the folk thereof were evil-doers.

Corrupt women are for corrupt men, and corrupt men for corrupt women.

24:26Vile women are for vile men, and vile men for vile women. Good women are for good men, and good men for good women; such are innocent of that which people say: For them is pardon and a bountiful provision.
