Invented

Or do they say, “He made it up”? Say, “Then produce a chapter like it and call upon anyone you can besides Allah, if you are truthful.”

10:38Or say they: He hath invented it? Say: Then bring a surah like unto it, and call (for help) on all ye can besides Allah, if ye are truthful.

Or do they say, “He invented it”? Say, “Then produce ten chapters like it, and call upon anyone you can besides Allah, if you are truthful.”

11:13Or they say: He hath invented it. Say: Then bring ten surahs, the like thereof, invented, and call on everyone ye can beside Allah, if ye are truthful!

Yet they say, “These are confused dreams! No, he has fabricated them! No, he is a poet! Let him bring us a sign like those sent before.”

21:5Nay, say they, (these are but) muddled dreams; nay, he hath but invented it; nay, he is but a poet. Let him bring us a portent even as those of old (who were Allah's messengers) were sent (with portents).

Or do they say, “He made it up”? Say, “If I have fabricated it, then my sin is upon me, but I am free of your wrongdoing.”

11:35Or say they (again): He hath invented it? Say: If I have invented it, upon me be my crimes, but I am innocent of (all) that ye commit.

Yet they say, “He made it up.” No, it is the truth from your Lord, sent to warn a people who had no warner before you, so they may be guided.

32:3Or say they: He hath invented it? Nay, but it is the Truth from thy Lord, that thou mayst warn a folk to whom no warner came before thee, that haply they may walk aright.

Or do they say: He has fabricated lies about Allah? If Allah so willed, He could seal your heart.

42:24Or say they: He hath invented a lie concerning Allah? If Allah willed, He could have sealed thy heart (against them). And Allah will wipe out the lie and will vindicate the truth by His words. Lo! He is Aware of what is hidden in the breasts (of men).

Or do they say, “He invented it”? Say: If I have fabricated it, you have no power to protect me from Allah.

46:8Or say they: He hath invented it? Say (O Muhammad): If I have invented it, still ye have no power to support me against Allah. He is Best Aware of what ye say among yourselves concerning it. He sufficeth for a witness between me and you. And He is the Forgiving, the Merciful.

When Our clear signs are recited to them, they say, “This is only a man who wants to turn you away from what your ancestors worshipped.” And they say, “This is nothing but a fabricated lie.”

34:43And if Our revelations are recited unto them in plain terms, they say: This is naught else than a man who would turn you away from what your fathers used to worship; and they say: This is naught else than an invented lie. Those who disbelieve say of the truth when it reacheth them: This is naught else than mere magic.

The disbelievers say, “This is nothing but a fabrication he made up, with others helping him.”

25:4Those who disbelieve say: This is naught but a lie that he hath invented, and other folk have helped him with it, so that they have produced a slander and a lie.

He’s just a man inventing lies about Allah; we won’t believe him.”

23:38He is only a man who hath invented a lie about Allah. We are not going to put faith in him.
