Messenger

Say: I am not the first of the messengers

46:9Say: I am no new thing among the messengers (of Allah), nor know I what will be done with me or with you. I do but follow that which is inspired in me, and I am but a plain warner.

Nothing is said to you except what was said to the messengers before you.

41:43Naught is said unto thee (Muhammad) save what was said unto the messengers before thee. Lo! thy Lord is owner of forgiveness, and owner (also) of dire punishment.

Yet I granted enjoyment to these and their forefathers until the truth and a clear messenger came to them.

43:29Nay, but I let these and their fathers enjoy life (only) till there should come unto them the Truth and a messenger making plain.

We never sent messengers before you except that they ate food and walked in the marketplaces. And We made some of you a test for others, will you be patient?

25:20We never sent before thee any messengers but lo! they verily ate food and walked in the markets. And We have appointed some of you a test for others: Will ye be steadfast? And thy Lord is ever Seer.

If they reject you, messengers before you were also rejected.

35:4And if they deny thee, (O Muhammad), messengers (of Allah) were denied before thee. Unto Allah all things are brought back.

We have sent to you a messenger as a witness over you, just as We sent a messenger to Pharaoh.

73:15Lo! We have sent unto you a messenger as witness against you, even as We sent unto Pharaoh a messenger.

Indeed, We have sent you with the truth.

2:119Lo! We have sent thee (O Muhammad) with the truth, a bringer of glad tidings and a warner. And thou wilt not be asked about the owners of hell-fire.

This is truly the word of a noble messenger.

69:40That it is indeed the speech of an illustrious messenger.

81:19That this is in truth the word of an honoured messenger,

You are truly among the messengers

36:3Lo! thou art of those sent
