Angels

Or did We create the angels as females while they were watching?

37:150Or created We the angels females while they were present?

Those who deny the Hereafter give the angels female names.

53:27Lo! it is those who disbelieve in the Hereafter who name the angels with the names of females.

Nor would a true messenger ever command you to take angels or prophets as lords. Would he call you to disbelief after you have submitted?

3:80And he commanded you not that ye should take the angels and the prophets for lords. Would he command you to disbelieve after ye had surrendered (to Allah)?

Has your Lord favoured you with sons while taking daughters for Himself? You utter a monstrous claim.

17:40Hath your Lord then distinguished you (O men of Makka) by giving you sons, and hath chosen for Himself females from among the angels? Lo! verily ye speak an awful word!

37:149Now ask them (O Muhammad): Hath thy Lord daughters whereas they have sons?

43:16Or chooseth He daughters of all that He hath created, and honoureth He you with sons?

52:39Or hath He daughters whereas ye have sons?

Yet when one of them is given news of what he attributes to the Most Merciful, his face darkens, suppressing grief.

43:17And if one of them hath tidings of that which he likeneth to the Beneficent One, his countenance becometh black and he is full of inward rage.

“Someone raised in adornment, unable to stand firm in argument?”

43:18(Liken they then to Allah) that which is bred up in outward show, and in dispute cannot make itself plain?

And they appoint the angels, who are servants of the Most Merciful, as females. Have they witnessed their creation? Their claim will be recorded, and they will be questioned.

43:19And they make the angels, who are the slaves of the Beneficent, females. Did they witness their creation? Their testimony will be recorded and they will be questioned.

They say, “Had the Most Merciful willed, we would not have worshiped them.” But they have no knowledge of this; they are merely guessing.

43:20And they say: If the Beneficent One had (so) willed, we should not have worshipped them. They have no knowledge whatsoever of that. They do but guess.

Or have We given them a Book before this, to which they hold fast?

43:21Or have We given them any scripture before (this Qur'an) so that they are holding fast thereto?

Rather, they say, “We found our forefathers upon a way, and we follow in their footsteps.”

43:22Nay, for they say only: Lo! we found our fathers following a religion, and we are guided by their footprints.

Thus, We sent no warner before you to any town without its wealthy saying, “We found our forefathers upon a way, and we follow in their footsteps.”

43:23And even so We sent not a warner before thee (Muhammad) into any township but its luxurious ones said: Lo! we found our fathers following a religion, and we are following their footprints.

“Gather the wrongdoers, their partners, and all they used to worship.

37:22(And it is said unto the angels): Assemble those who did wrong, together with their wives and what they used to worship

Besides Allah, and lead them to the path of Hell.

37:23Instead of Allah, and lead them to the path to hell;
