Abraham

You have a noble example in Abraham and those with him, when they said to their people, “We disown you and what you worship besides Allah. We reject you, and between us and you, hostility and hatred has appeared, until you believe in Allah alone.” But Abraham’s words to his father, “I will ask forgiveness for you, though I have no power to help you before Allah,” were an exception. They said, “Our Lord, in You we trust, to You we turn, and to You is the final return.”

6:161Say: Lo! As for me, my Lord hath guided me unto a straight path, a right religion, the community of Abraham, the upright, who was no idolater.

16:120Lo! Abraham was a nation obedient to Allah, by nature upright, and he was not of the idolaters;

16:123And afterward We inspired thee (Muhammad, saying): Follow the religion of Abraham, as one by nature upright. He was not of the idolaters.

43:26And when Abraham said unto his father and his folk: Lo! I am innocent of what ye worship

60:4There is a goodly pattern for you in Abraham and those with him, when they told their folk: Lo! we are guiltless of you and all that ye worship beside Allah. We have done with you. And there hath arisen between us and you hostility and hate for ever until ye believe in Allah only - save that which Abraham promised his father (when he said): I will ask forgiveness for thee, though I own nothing for thee from Allah - Our Lord! In Thee we put our trust, and unto Thee we turn repentant, and unto Thee is the journeying.

Were you present when death came to Jacob? He asked his sons, 'What will you worship after I am gone?' They replied, 'We will worship your Allah, the God of Abraham, Ishmael, and Isaac, the One True God, and to Him we submit.'

2:133Or were ye present when death came to Jacob, when he said unto his sons: What will ye worship after me? They said: We shall worship thy god, the god of thy fathers, Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac, One Allah, and unto Him we have surrendered.
