Hypocrites

O Messenger! Do not grieve over those who rush into disbelief, whether among those who say, “We believe” with their lips while their hearts remain unchanged, or among the Jews who eagerly listen to lies and to those who never met you.

5:41O Messenger! Let not them grieve thee who vie one with another in the race to disbelief, of such as say with their mouths: "We believe," but their hearts believe not, and of the Jews: listeners for the sake of falsehood, listeners on behalf of other folk who come not unto thee, changing words from their context and saying: If this be given unto you, receive it, but if this be not given unto you, then beware! He whom Allah doometh unto sin, thou (by thine efforts) wilt avail him naught against Allah. Those are they for whom the Will of Allah is that He cleanse not their hearts. Theirs in the world will be ignominy, and in the Hereafter an awful doom;

Give news to the hypocrites: a painful punishment awaits them.

4:138Bear unto the hypocrites the tidings that for them there is a painful doom;

Allah has promised the hypocrites and disbelievers the Fire of Hell

9:68Allah promiseth the hypocrites, both men and women, and the disbelievers fire of hell for their abode. It will suffice them. Allah curseth them, and theirs is lasting torment.

Surely, Allah will gather the hypocrites and disbelievers together in Hell.

4:140He hath already revealed unto you in the Scripture that, when ye hear the revelations of Allah rejected and derided, (ye) sit not with them (who disbelieve and mock) until they engage in some other conversation. Lo! in that case (if ye stayed) ye would be like unto them. Lo! Allah will gather hypocrites and disbelievers, all together, into hell;

And He will punish the hypocrites, men and women, and the idolaters, men and women, those who harbour evil thoughts about Allah. Upon them is a turn of misfortune. Allah’s wrath is upon them, He has cursed them, and prepared for them Hell, what a miserable destination.

33:73So Allah punisheth hypocritical men and hypocritical women, and idolatrous men and idolatrous women. But Allah pardoneth believing men and believing women, and Allah is ever Forgiving, Merciful.

48:6And may punish the hypocritical men and the hypocritical women, and the idolatrous men and the idolatrous women, who think an evil thought concerning Allah. For them is the evil turn of fortune, and Allah is wroth against them and hath cursed them, and hath made ready for them hell, a hapless journey's end.

Those who wait for your downfall, if victory comes to you, they claim allegiance; but if the disbelievers succeed, they say, “Did we not side with you?” Allah will judge between you all on the Day of Resurrection, and He will never grant the disbelievers power over the believers.

4:141Those who wait upon occasion in regard to you and, if a victory cometh unto you from Allah, say: Are we not with you? and if the disbelievers meet with a success say: Had we not the mastery of you, and did we not protect you from the believers? - Allah will judge between you at the Day of Resurrection, and Allah will not give the disbelievers any way (of success) against the believers.

On that Day, the hypocrites will say to the believers, “Wait for us, so we may borrow some of your light.” But they will be told, “Go back and seek light elsewhere.” A barrier will be placed between them, with mercy on one side and torment on the other.

57:13On the day when the hypocritical men and the hypocritical women will say unto those who believe: Look on us that we may borrow from your light! it will be said: Go back and seek for light! Then there will separate them a wall wherein is a gate, the inner side whereof containeth mercy, while the outer side thereof is toward the doom.

They are like Satan when he says to the human, “Disbelieve,” but when he disbelieves, he says, “I am free of you; I fear Allah.”

59:16(And the hypocrites are) on the likeness of the devil when he telleth man to disbelieve, then, when he disbelieveth saith: Lo! I am quit of thee. Lo! I fear Allah, the Lord of the Worlds.

The end of both is that they will be in the Fire, remaining there forever. That is the reward of the wrongdoers.

59:17And the consequence for both will be that they are in the Fire, therein abiding. Such is the reward of evil-doers.

Surely, the hypocrites will be in the lowest depths of Hell, and you will find no helper for them.

4:145Lo! the hypocrites (will be) in the lowest deep of the Fire, and thou wilt find no helper for them;

Whoever rejects faith, his deeds are worthless, and in the Hereafter, he will be among the losers.

3:85And whoso seeketh as religion other than the Surrender (to Allah) it will not be accepted from him, and he will be a loser in the Hereafter.

5:5This day are (all) good things made lawful for you. The food of those who have received the Scripture is lawful for you, and your food is lawful for them. And so are the virtuous women of the believers and the virtuous women of those who received the Scripture before you (lawful for you) when ye give them their marriage portions and live with them in honour, not in fornication, nor taking them as secret concubines. Whoso denieth the faith, his work is vain and he will be among the losers in the Hereafter.

7:178He whom Allah leadeth, he indeed is led aright, while he whom Allah sendeth astray - they indeed are losers.

8:37That Allah may separate the wicked from the good, The wicked will He place piece upon piece, and heap them all together, and consign them unto hell. Such verily are the losers.

11:22Assuredly in the Hereafter they will be the greatest losers.

16:109Assuredly in the Hereafter they are the losers.
