Allah's Ill full verses back to top

Allah does not change the condition of a people until they change what is within themselves. And when He wills hardship, none can avert it

Led Astray full verses back to top

Had Allah willed, He could have made you one community, but He leaves some to stray and guides others.

Allah guides whom He wills and leaves others to wander astray.

Whomever Allah wills to guide, He expands their heart to submission. But whomever He wills to leave astray, He makes their chest tight and constricted, as if they were climbing into the sky. Thus, Allah places defilement upon those who do not believe.

We assigned them companions who made their past and future deeds seem appealing to them. Thus, the fate of earlier communities, both jinn and humans, was sealed upon them, for they were truly lost.

On the Day He gathers them all, He will say, “O assembly of jinn! You have misled many among humanity.”

Whoever Allah leaves astray, none can guide them. He leaves them wandering blindly in their defiance.

But as for those who deny the Hereafter, We have made their deeds seem appealing to them, so they wander blindly.

They are the ones who will face the worst punishment, and in the Hereafter, they will be the greatest losers.

They will say, “Our Lord, our misfortune overwhelmed us, and we were a people astray.

Those who reject Our signs are deaf and blind, lost in darkness. Allah guides whom He wills and leaves others to wander astray.

Sealed Hearts full verses back to top

Has it not become clear to those who inherit the land after its former people that, if We will, We can strike them for their sins and seal their hearts so they do not hear?

Among them are those who listen to you, but when they leave, they say to others, “What did he just say?” These are the ones whose hearts Allah has sealed, they follow only their desires.

This is how We seal the hearts of the disbelievers.

Have you seen the one who takes his own desire as his Allah? Allah lets him stray knowingly, seals his hearing and heart, and places a veil over his sight. Who then can guide him after Allah?

Say, “If Allah were to take away your hearing and sight and seal your hearts, who but Allah could restore them?”

They are the ones whose hearts, hearing, and sight Allah has sealed, and they are the heedless.

That is because they believed, then disbelieved, so their hearts were sealed, and they cannot understand.

No! Their hearts are stained by what they have earned.

No! On that Day, they will be veiled from their Lord

Allah has sealed their hearts and ears, and a veil covers their sight

Their hearts harbour a disease, and Allah increases their affliction.

Blind full verses back to top

Had We willed, We could have taken away their sight. Then, how would they find their way?

But whoever turns away from My remembrance will have a miserable life and will be resurrected blind.

He will say, “My Lord, why have You raised me blind when I once had sight?”

The example of those who reject faith is like one who calls out to cattle, they hear nothing but sounds and cries. Deaf, dumb, and blind, they do not comprehend.

Allah will Mock full verses back to top

Allah mocks them and lets them wander blindly in their defiance

Allah will mock them in return

Guided full verses back to top

If they believe as you do, they are rightly guided. But if they turn away, they are in opposition.

Whoever is guided is guided for his own benefit, and whoever goes astray does so to his own loss.

Seized full verses back to top

Allah seized them for their sins.

Unforgiven full verses back to top

Whether you seek forgiveness for them or not, even if you ask seventy times, Allah will never forgive them. That is because they rejected Allah and His Messenger.

Those who disbelieve and persist in wrongdoing, Allah will never forgive them nor guide them to any path

Except the path to Hell

Forgiven full verses back to top

Except for the helpless, men, women, and children, who had no means or guidance to escape.

For them, Allah may grant pardon.

Allah's Hatred full verses back to top

The disbelievers will be told, "Allah’s hatred toward you is greater than your hatred toward yourselves, for you were invited to faith, but you refused."

Allah's Curse full verses back to top

The people of Paradise will call to the people of Hell, saying, “We have found our Lord’s promise to be true, have you found yours to be true?” They will reply, “Yes.” Then a caller will proclaim, “May Allah’s curse be upon the wrongdoers

Those who turned others away from His path, seeking to make it crooked, and who denied the Hereafter.”

Between them is a barrier, and on the heights are people who recognize everyone by their marks. They will call to the people of Paradise, “Peace be upon you!” They have not yet entered, but they long to do so.

And when their gaze turns toward the people of Hell, they will say, “Our Lord, do not place us among the wrongdoers.”

The people of the heights will call to men they recognize, saying, “Your wealth and arrogance did not benefit you.”

“Are these the ones you swore Allah would never show mercy to?” To them, it will be said, “Enter Paradise, no fear, nor shall you grieve.”

The people of Hell will call to the people of Paradise, saying, “Pour some water over us, or anything Allah has provided you.” They will reply, “Allah has forbidden both to the disbelievers.

Those who took their religion as amusement and distraction, deceived by worldly life.” Today, We will forget them as they forgot their meeting on this Day and as they rejected Our signs.

But those who persist in disbelief and die as deniers, upon them is the curse of Allah, the angels, and all of humanity.

May Allah’s curse be upon the wrongdoers

If anyone argues with you after knowledge has come to you, say, ‘Come, let us gather ourselves and you, our children and your children, our women and your women, then let us sincerely pray and invoke Allah’s curse upon the liars.’

Doomed are the makers of the trench

The fire fed with fuel

As they sat beside it

They will be cursed, and they will have the worst home.

Those who insult Allah and His Messenger are cursed in this life and the next, and a humiliating punishment awaits them.

Allah has cursed them, and they will have lasting torment.
