Sky

By the sky woven with precision.

51:7By the heaven full of paths,

He raised the sky and set the balance

55:7And the sky He hath uplifted; and He hath set the measure,

And at the sky, how it is raised?

88:18And the heaven, how it is raised?

And We made the sky a protected canopy and perfected them.

2:22Who hath appointed the earth a resting-place for you, and the sky a canopy; and causeth water to pour down from the sky, thereby producing fruits as food for you. And do not set up rivals to Allah when ye know (better).

21:32And we have made the sky a roof withheld (from them). Yet they turn away from its portents.

40:64Allah it is Who appointed for you the earth for a dwelling-place and the sky for a canopy, and fashioned you and perfected your shapes, and hath provided you with good things. Such is Allah, your Lord. Then blessed be Allah, the Lord of the Worlds!

79:28He raised the height thereof and ordered it;

He holds back the sky from falling upon the earth, except by His permission.

22:65Hast thou not seen how Allah hath made all that is in the earth subservient unto you? And the ship runneth upon the sea by His command, and He holdeth back the heaven from falling on the earth unless by His leave. Lo! Allah is, for mankind, Full of Pity, Merciful.

Have they not looked at the sky above them, how We built it and adorned it, with no cracks?

50:6Have they not then observed the sky above them, how We have constructed it and beautified it, and how there are no rifts therein?

Have they not seen what lies before them and behind them of the sky? If We will, We could cause the sky to fall upon them. Surely in this is a sign for every servant who turns back to Allah.

34:9Have they not observed what is before them and what is behind them of the sky and the earth? If We will, We can make the earth swallow them, or cause obliteration from the sky to fall on them. Lo! herein surely is a portent for every slave who turneth (to Allah) repentant.

They say “We will not believe unless you make the sky fall upon us in pieces, as you claim.

17:90And they say: We will not put faith in thee till thou cause a spring to gush forth from the earth for us;

17:92Or thou cause the heaven to fall upon us piecemeal, as thou hast pretended, or bring Allah and the angels as a warrant;

Even if they saw pieces of the sky falling, they would say, “Clouds heaped up!”

52:44And if they were to see a fragment of the heaven falling, they would say: A heap of clouds.
